Dandruff refers to the dry, skin flakes that can be easily noticed as they are white in colour. However the dandruff is not an alarming condition and it is not related to the poor hygiene and hair care. There are many persons who tend to feel low self esteem because of it. When there is excessive Dandruff , it may lead to itching. You can clean off the dandruff by using good shampoo. In case you have flakes that are greasy and yellow then you need to check your doctor as it may result from seborrheic dermatitis.
In order to prevent the occurrence of dandruff, you may shampoo your hair daily. You should ensure that you are using gentle shampoos for attacking dandruff as it assists in eliminating the surplus oils. There are some conditioners that also tackle this problem of dandruff. You can also take the help of rosemary and tea tree oil as it is useful in dandruff. It is recommended to add a few drops of both oils into your shampoo every time you take shower. You should ensure that you rinse your hair thoroughly every time.
If you do not get the relief from the symptoms of dandruff by using your shampoo then you should try another shampoo. You can also use the rotation of various shampoos. Also, you should avoid scratching your head even if you feel the strong urge to do it as it helps in preventing the spread of dandruff to other areas. If you feel that you are perspiring a lot and there is sweat accumulated in between your hairs then you should wash your scalp with the treated shampoo.
You should avoid the use of chemical hair products and also try to keep your head dry. If you feel your head is wet you should dry it properly. You can also treat your scalp with apple cider vinegar for preventing the growth of dandruff. With proper basic care and regularly treating your hair with shampoo, you can prevent the spread and growth of dandruff.
