Tips for Controlling Dandruff September 15, 2010
Dandruff refers to the condition when the scalp sheds large amount of dead epidermal (skin) cells. The Dandruff scales looks dry, white or grayish or they may appear as small and unsightly patches on top of the head. It results from poor diet, hormonal imbalance, sluggish metabolism, and sometimes infection. The Dandruff leads to the production of increased cell renewal on the scalp that is related to the increase in sebum. If this condition continued it causes irritation and redness of the skin.
You can follow the below mentioned tips for getting rid of the Dandruff.
(1) You can opt for a light massage with hot oil for removing the scales. You can use the almond oil, coconut oil, or olive oil before going to bed and leave it overnight. Then you can apply juice of lemon on the scalp one hour before shampooing.
(2) You should regularly use Henna as it helps in controlling the dandruff and promoting the healthy hair growth. In fact, the Henna powder mixed with egg, curd or lemon is preferred for curing dandruff.
(3)You can also apply curd on your hair and leave it for half an hour followed by washing it with shampoo.
(4) You can also pour apple cider vinegar on the scalp followed by massaging and drying it for a few minutes before washing it thoroughly.
(5) You can also use aspirin tablets and add them to your shampoo after crushing them for washing your hair. You can apply the mixture on hair and leave it few minutes. You can also rinse well and ensure to wash all the aspirin.
(6) You can also rub Aloe Vera Gel into your scalp and leave it on for 10 minutes. Then use your shampoo for keeping your dandruff away from hairs.
